SoloRate ("we", "our", or "the app") is a standalone, offline-first rate and quotation calculator for freelancers, consultants, and independent professionals. Your privacy is paramount: we do not collect, transmit, sell, or monetize any of your personal or financial data.
2. Data Collection and Storage
All inputs, rate calculations, expenses, tax rates, and project quotations entered into SoloRate are stored strictly locally on your device using Android Jetpack DataStore / Room storage.
- No account registration or login is required.
- No financial figures or target earnings leave your device.
- No analytics SDKs or behavioral tracking tools are embedded.
3. Device Permissions
SoloRate requests minimal device permissions necessary only for core offline utility:
- No Internet Permission required for calculation: Calculations run 100% locally.
- Share Intent: Used strictly when you explicitly choose to export or share a generated quote or calculation summary via Android's native share sheet.
4. Third-Party Services
The app does not integrate third-party tracking, advertising SDKs, or data brokers. If third-party cloud backup (e.g., standard Google Drive / Android Auto-Backup) is enabled on your device, data backup is governed by your device's Google Account privacy settings.
5. Children's Privacy
SoloRate is not directed towards children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
